Clifftop calamity

March 23, 2008

This nightmare used to plague many of my nights when I was in my teens.

I am standing on top of a cliff. The sun is setting and the sky has been lit up with varying shades of amber, orange and red. Interestingly, the cliff is a very tall one with a really narrow top; I can barely place my feet on the top.

As I watch the sky, I notice a pool of darkness forming in the sky, right above my head. It slowly starts spreading across the entire sky. I start feeling afraid. The pool spreads almost to the horizon, sinking the whole area surrounding me in near palpable darkness. I can barely see a ray of light on the horizon.

Suddenly, there is a burst of light on the edge of the almost impenetrable shroud of darkness. The sky gets flooded with a brilliant golden light; the darkness seems to melt in front of it.

This is where I would wake up.

You are right that dreams are just the reflection of our subconscious mind means what we think, what we fear or what we expect etc.According to me your this particular dream is the reflection of your optimistic mind.In every person’s life they must have problems, must have some bad times. You are also one of those people. You also must have passed through such bad situation. But because of your optimistic nature you never want those problems to cover up your mind, cover up your life. You always try to find out the solution though you get afraid, try to keep your light of hope alight and you believe that you can. Thus after sometime you get the answer or the solution of that problem. That’s what comes in your dream as golden light…symbol of the ray of hope, symbol of the solution, symbol of your joy.It comes as a ray of hope, ends up the problem..that darkness and floods your sky of mind with joy..that brilliant golden light.
